Bridges

What are they?

A bridge is a false tooth attached to a real tooth. There are many different designs of bridges that we can use to replace your missing teeth, each with there own merits.

How do they work?

One or two teeth, adjacent to your missing teeth are adjusted. Impressions are taken and our ceramist creates a beautiful porcelain bridge to blend in with your smile and your bite. Once fitted a bridge can be sued for eating and drinking just like a normal tooth.

How long do they last?

The average lifespan of a bridge is 12-15 years. Certain bridges can easily be reattached if they debond.

We believe that with meticulous care on our part, and suitable cleaning on your part, a bridge should exceed these averages.

Are there any limitations?

Yes, your teeth need to be strong enough to carry the load of a bridge. You will also need a good standard of oral hygiene before a bridge will be placed.
